Allen Ray Pender, Sr., 71, of Pitkin, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2015 at his home. Visitation will be Sunday, April 12, from 5pm until time of service at Sugartown United Pentecostal Church. Funeral service will be Monday, April 13, at 2pm at the church. Interment will be at Black Jack Cemetery. Rev. Michael Stracener, Rev. Louis Robertson, and Rev. Tim Deason will officiate.
Allen is survived by his wife, Lorraine Pender of Pitkin; two daughters, Anita Deason & Tim of Pitkin, and Tammey Monceaux & C.J. of Pitkin; two sons, Allen Ray Pender, Jr. & Penny of Kansas City, KS, and Bryan Keith Pender & Shari of Milton, FL; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Gilley & Gene of Leblanc, LA; and brother, Donald Pender & Blanche of Oakdale.
He is preceded in death by his parents, E.C. & Marie Pender; three sisters, Laura Johnson, Rene Alston, and Essie Mae Taylor; four brothers, Paul Pender, John Earl Pender, Jack Pender, and Percy Pender; and grandson, Dustin Pender.
