Carla Faye Carender

Carla Faye Carender, 77, passed away November 22, 2021 in Lake Charles LA.  She was born December 7th 1943 in Ironton, Ohio to Carl Mays and Louise Armstrong.  Carla was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Helen Mays and Sharon McNelis. Carla is survived by her husband, Dale Morckel; sister, Jean Lancaster; brother, John Mays; three daughters, Jodi Smith & Smitty, Chandra Carender, and Susie Taylor & Richard; two sons, Randy Moulding & Nana and Kevin Carender & Sandy; nine grandchildren, Devanie, Brandon, Sierra & Zachary, Joey, Brandon & Heather, Vanessa & Michael, Evan & Madison, Melissa, and Terry; twenty great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews including her niece Glea who helped take care of her when her family could not be by her side. Carla had an amazing sense of humor and found joy being around her family, friends, and her dogs.  She loved to play bingo and visit the casino when she could.  Carla loved to crochet, read, and do puzzle books.  She had a heart of gold and loved her family very much.  She will be missed deeply by all her family and friends.
