Charles Dean McDade, 87, of Rosepine, LA, passed away Sunday, August 26, 2018 in Lake Charles, LA.  Visitation will be Tuesday, August 28 from 5-8pm at The Church In Rosepine.  Funeral service will be Wednesday, August 29 at 10am at The Church In Rosepine.  Interment will be at Rosepine Cemetery.  Rev. Greg Crawford, Rev. Joe Pool, and Rev. Charles Williams will officiate. Charles is survived by his wife of 67 years, Naomi Brown McDade of Rosepine, LA; three daughters, Sue Williams & Bennie of Rosepine, LA, Tammy Fletcher & Phillip of Pickering, LA, and Bonnie Miller & Dale of Lake Providence, LA; three sons, Chuck McDade & Debbie of Sulphur, LA, Scott McDade & Laura of Rosepine, LA, and Kevin McDade & Danyelle of DeRidder, LA; 17 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Judy Whitesell of Rosepine, LA and Elizabeth Robinson & J.D. of Carlyss, LA; and his beloved dogs. Charles Dean McDade was born October 20, 1930 in Howard Elk, Kansas to Max and Thelma McDade.  He worked many jobs through his life.  Being a gardener was his passion.  He drove a bus for Rosepine schools for many years.  He was a faithful servant of the Lord and he served as a deacon at Providence Baptist Church.  He was a member of The Church In Rosepine.  Charles was a standup member of the Rosepine Community moving from Lake Charles to Rosepine to help his mother on the farm when his father passed away.  He was always busy.  He always had gardens where he gave much of the harvest away. He is preceded in death by his parents, Max Earl McDade & Thelma McDade Johnson; his sister, Eunice Prather; and two great-great-grandsons. The family would like to thank the church family at The Church In Rosepine for the sitters and the doctors and nurses at St. Patrick’s Hospital in Lake Charles.
