Cynthia Denise Shafer

Cynthia “Cindy” Denise Shafer, 72, of DeRidder, passed away Monday, May 2, 2016 in Lake Charles.  Visitation will be Thursday, May 5, from 3-8pm at Chaddick Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be Friday, May 6 at 10am at Chaddick’s.  Interment will be at Rosepine Cemetery.  Rev. Charlie Williams and Rev. Jerry Gore will officiate. Cindy is survived by her husband of fifty years, Larry Elmo Shafer of Deridder; two children, Melinda Franovich of Milwaukee, WI, and Jerry Gore & Kimberly of Columbia, TX; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Diana Marie Needham & Edward of DeRidder; brother, Mark Alan Brooks & Marisa of Eugene, OR; and a host of nieces, nephews, family & friends. She is preceded in death by her three children, Michael Landon, Larry Elmo, Jr., and Larry Wayne; sister, Peggy-Jo Yell; and parents,  Kenneth & Maxine Brooks.
