David Michael “Mike” Baker

Ret. SFC David Michael “Mike” Baker, 75, of Leesville, LA, was born August 18, 1947 in Indianapolis to Willliam (Bill) Louis Baker born in Indianapolis, IN and Paticia (Pat) Ann (Mock) Baker born in English, IN, who both preceded him in death, passed away Friday, August 19, 2022.  Visitation will be Saturday, August 27 from 11am-2pm at First Presbyterian Church of DeRidder.  Funeral service will be Saturday, August 27 at 2pm at First Presbyterian Church of DeRidder.  Rev. Jerry Egbert will officiate. Mike is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda Baker of Leesville, LA; three children, Christina Cross (Mike) of Speedway, IN, Donald Baker (Jill) of Ft. Myers, FL and Heather Morgan of Richmond, VA; three grandchildren; one brother, Timothy L. Baker (Lea) of Boise, ID; sister, Lynda R. (Baker) Saperstein of Indianapolis, IN. Extended family includes 3 nieces and 1 nephew. Mike was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 3619, member of American Legion Post 387, a lifelong wood worker, and he was a dog lover.  Mike was a Christian who loved the Lord.
