Delma Lee Prewitt Franklin, 93 and 3 days, formally of Anacoco, LA passed away Saturday, February 1, 2025.  Visitation will be Friday, February 7 from 5-8pm at Ludington Baptist Church.  Celebration of Life will be Saturday, February 8 at 11am at Ludington Baptist Church.  Interment will be at Holly Grove Cemetery.  Rev. George Lee Glass, Rev. Darrell Robinson, and Bro. David Farris will officiate. She was born on January 29, 1932 in Plainview, LA.  She was a graduate of Oakdale High School in 1951 and received her LPN degree in 1976. She was a member at Ludington Baptist Church.  She was a former member of Eastern Star and Anacoco First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, and helped with other church activities. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmothers, and friend.  She enjoyed reading her Bible, worshipping and praising God. Delma is survived by her daughter, Diedra Robinson & Darrell of DeRidder, LA; son, Denay Franklin & Jackie of Dayton, TX; five grandchildren, Dustin Farris & Kim of Iowa, LA, David Farris of Crowley, LA, Derrell Kieth Franklin & Linda of Mont Belvieu, TX, Anthony Franklin & Anita of Dayton, TX and Ashley Franklin & Juan Cruz of La Porte, TX; seven great-grandchildren, Cameron, Connor, Lincoln, Claire, Gemma, Aubrey and Vivian; sister, Jeraldine Guillory of Moss Bluff, LA; and dear friends and caregivers, Julia Sanders of DeRidder, LA and Charlotte Newsom of DeRidder, LA. She is preceded in death by her husband, Derrell J. Franklin; parents, Aubie & Arilla Prewitt; and brother-in-law, Nelson Guillory. Condolences can be made at chaddickfuneralhome.com
