Eutha Nell Morvant

Eutha Nell Morvant, 74, of DeRidder, LA, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020 at her home.  Visitation will be Tuesday, December 22 from 10am until time of service at First Baptist Church.  Funeral service will be Tuesday, December 22 at 2pm at First Baptist Church.  Interment will be at Whitaker Cemetery.  Rev. Lindsey Burns and Rev. Steve Thomas will officiate. Eutha is survived by her husband of 55 years, Etienne Morvant, Jr. of DeRidder, LA; one daughter, Penny Lack & Sam of DeRidder, LA; three sons, Stephen Morvant & Janet of West Monroe, LA, Brent Morvant & Mindy of Lafayette, LA, and Chad Morvant & Vicky of Rosepine, LA; seven grandchildren, Emily Ezell, Justin Doan, Billy Morvant & Angel, Dustin Morvant, Dillon Morvant, Dancey Jones & Zak, and Savannah Lack; one great-granddaughter, Kairi Jones; and one sister, Elaine Coleman of DeRidder, LA. She is preceded in death by her parents, E.W. “Bill” & Dorothy Embrey; and her granddaughter, Saleen Morvant. The family would like to thank Ashley Schecher, Jaci Crouch, and Heart of Hospice for their wonderful love and care.  They would also like to thank Ruby Brown and Shirley Crumpler for the many meals they provided; and thanks to George Fontenot and other church members for the love and support that was given during the past few years. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to DeRidder First Baptist Church Legacy of Faith, the Alzheimer’s Association or to your favorite charity.
