Graydon “Donny” Congleton, Jr.

Graydon “Donny” Congleton, Jr., 68, of DeRidder, LA passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024.  He was born April 20, 1956, in France to Graydon and Doris (Rainwater) Congleton, Sr. Visitation will be Saturday, October 5 from 10am-12pm at Chaddick Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be Saturday, October 5 at 12pm at Chaddick Funeral Home.  Interment will be at Beauregard Cemetery.  Bro. Sean Fisher will officiate. Donny considered Kentucky his second home where he loved exploring the land where his ancestors were born and lived.  He was a Veteran who served in the Army and had a love of God, family, hunting, fishing, and living off the land.  A storyteller who never met a stranger with a loving soul. Donny is survived by his wife of 35 years, Linda Congleton of Florien, LA; two daughters, Shannon Congleton of Beattyville, KY and Anjanette Perkins of Florien, LA; four grandchildren, Brooklyn Perkins, Eian LeBlanc, Brandon Womack, and Emma Traylor; three great-grandchildren, Hadley, Frankie, and Myra; sister, Mary Lou Pacheco of Sherwood, AR; brother, David Congelton & Tammy of DeRidder, LA; six nieces and nephews, Ruthie, Bubba, Tammy, Joy, Josh, and Andrew; and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, family, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Graydon & Doris Congleton; and sisters, Cynthia Congleton and Sherry Albritton; brother, Daniel Albritton; and granddaughter, Sydney Perkins.
