John Wayne Ford, Jr., 54, of Onalaska, TX passed away Saturday, April 12, 2025.  Visitation will be Saturday, April 19 from 10am-12pm at Cherry Grove Baptist Church.  Funeral service will be Saturday, April 19 at 12pm at Cherry Grove Baptist Church.  Interment will be at Cherry Grove Cemetery.  Steven Hoke will officiate. John is survived by his wife, Samantha Ford of Onalaska, TX; daughters, Kara Ford & Austin of Georgetown, TX, Haley Randall & Clay of Livingston, TX, and Megan Ford-Martin & Daniel of Onalaska, TX; sons, Sean McDaniel & Vanessa of Rockdale, TX and Brian McDaniel & Whitney of Lovelady, TX; grandchildren, Blake Ford, Jaxon Ford, Arabellah Dial, Hunter Dial, Wrenlee Dial, Bailey McDaniel, Zander McDaniel, Blake McDaniel, Serenity McDaniel, and soon-to-be, Stella; mother, Kathy Johnson & Jerry of Livingston, TX; step-mother, Sally Ford of Sugartown, LA; sisters, Theresa Farris & Johnny Rhea of Livingston, TX, Sandra Nowlin & Stuart of Onalaska, TX and Teresa Ferrell & Ronnie of Sugartown, LA; brother, Kenneth Billings & Kristi of Memphis, TN; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, John Ford, Sr.; paternal grandparents, James “BoogerRed” & Veta Ford; and maternal grandparents, Kenneth & Mona Mahaffey. Johnny attended East Beauregard High School until 11th grade.  He enlisted with the National Guard.  Upon completing basic training and AIT, he returned home to graduate from Fairview High School in 1990. His passion was doing mechanic work.  He was always tinkering on vehicles, even when he didn’t need to.  He loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
