Joy Elese Keel

Joy Elese Keel, 94, of DeRidder, LA, passed away Saturday, February 26, 2022.  Visitation will be Monday, February 28 from 6pm-9pm at Pentecostal Gospel Lighthouse Church.  Funeral service will be Tuesday, March 1 at 2pm at Pentecostal Gospel Lighthouse Church.  Interment will be at Old Cypress Cemetery.  Rev. Phillip Davidson and Rev. Gary Bankson will officiate. Joy is survived by her three daughters, Connie Beck & Leon of DeRidder, LA, Linda Smith of DeRidder, LA, and Rita Ray of Buna, TX; eleven grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; seventeen great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Archie & Estella Nichols; brother, David Nichols; two sisters, Joyce Royston and Daisy Geiger; daughter, Doris Greene; and the father of her children, Arthur Keel.
