Kathy Beverly Gregory

Kathy Lynn Beverly Gregory peacefully slipped into Heaven on April 24, 2025. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 29 from 4-9pm at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and Wednesday, April 30 from 10am until time of service. Funeral service will be Wednesday, April 30 at 12pm at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Interment will be at Old Cypress Cemetery. Rev. Jason Hoychick, Rev. Bruce Butts, and Rev. Danny Wilson will officiate. She was born in Chattanooga,TN on January 18, 1979 to Vickie Williams Fowler and Wayne Beverly. She lived in DeRidder her whole life. She graduated from DeRidder High School in 1997 and was an active member in the community. She was married to the love of her life David Gregory. Together they had three loving children Cory, Katie and Kacie. Kathy loved her children more than anything else. She would “adopt” any kid that needed a mom at any time. She loved watching and cheering on all of her children whether it was at the dixie youth fields, high school softball and baseball fields, at dance recitals or at the DeRidder Riding Club. She became the team mom for every team and she loved every minute of it. She was a member of the DeRidder Junior Woman’s club for many years and loved helping raise money for any family in need. She passed her love for the DeRidder Junior Woman’s club down to her daughters Katie and Kacie who are Juniorettes for the organization. Kathy was a warrior and battled Polycystic Kidney disease for many years. She was on dialysis for many years and had found momma there, Barbara Lundy. Barbara took care of Kathy’s mom Vickie, and took care of Kathy as well. She had many nurses and techs that she loved dearly. Kathy wanted to make sure to thank anyone and everyone that has helped and will continue to help her family. She wants everyone to remember to please hold her babies for her and to remind them she loved them. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Vickie Fowler; in-laws, John and Kathy Gregory; as well as her grandparents, Earnest and Kay Williams. Kathy and David also had an Angel daughter that she is looking forward to holding again. Kathy is survived by her husband, William David Gregory; son, Cory Drake Gregory and Mackenzie (DeRidder); daughters, Katie Mae Gregory and Kacie Mae Gregory (DeRidder); brother, Tommy and Tosha Fowler (DeRidder); brother-in-law, Mike and Stacy Gregory (DeRidder). She has three wonderful nephews, Gage Gregory, Gavin Gregory and Gunner Gregory and two beautiful nieces, Emily Fowler and Lindsey Fowler (her Little Lou Lou). She also has many aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends that she loved. Brother Jason Hoychick will be reading the obituary, Brother Bruce Butts will officiate the service and Brother Danny Wilson will do the closing ceremony at the cemetery. Brother Bruce baptized Kathy in 2011 just days before he married Kathy and David. Pallbearers will be Gage Gregory, Gavin Gregory, Harrison Martin, Coy Miller, Tanner Ogle, Hunter Gill and honorary pallbearers Josh Davis and Gunner Gregory. Kathy wants us to remember that she will always be around, a butterfly, a gust of wind, or a flutter of the heart. She will always be watching over you.
