Linda Rose Evans

Linda Rose Evans, 83, of DeRidder, LA passed away Saturday, August 10, 2024.  She was born in DeRidder, LA, and a graduate of DeRidder High School, class of 1959.  Linda was employed and retired from Ft. Polk, LA. She cherished her family and friends.  She touched many with her deep and abiding love in the Lord Jesus Christ, seeking to tell of God’s love and salvation.  Her favorite verse:  Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”  Her favorite song was “Midnight Cry.” Linda is survived by her sister, Opal Herzog of DeRidder, LA; a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends; and a childhood friend from elementary school, Virginia Wilson of DeRidder, LA. She is preceded in death by her parents, Johnie & Bessie Evans; four sisters, LaVerne Hamilton, Maxine DeMary, Faye Thomas Stevenson, and Mary Jane Smith; and one brother, Glenn Evans. Graveside service will be Thursday, August 15 at 10am at Rosepine Cemetery.  Rev. Thomas Avant will officiate. Condolences can be made at chaddickfuneralhome.com
