Lulu Laffell Mahaffey

Lulu Laffell Mahaffey, 81, of Mittie, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016 at her home.  Visitation will be Saturday, July 2, from 4pm until time of service at Cherry Grove Baptist Church.  Funeral service will be Sunday, July 3, at 2pm at Cherry Grove.  Interment will be at Cherry Grove Cemetery.  Rev. Ron Butler, Rev. Robbie Rollins, and Rev. Larry Badon will officiate. Laffell is survived by three sons, Gregory Mahaffey & Cindy, Gary Mahaffey & Carleen, and Gerald “Tinker” Mahaffey & JoAnn, all of Mittie; six grandchildren, Amy Herron & Bobby, Heath Mahaffey & Monica, Casey Sonnier & Cliff, Courtney Pitre & Michael, Jody Mahaffey & Andrea, and Lynnsey Mahaffey; fifteen great-grandchildren; and sister, Patricia Badon & Larry of Prairieville, LA. She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Mahaffey; parents, Gilbert & Vernice Horton Mahaffey;  granddaughter, Megan Dennyse Mahaffey; three brothers, Tom “TG” Turner, Wade Turner, and Donald Wayne Turner; and sister, Minnie Lee Turner Cline.
