Maria Cordero, 80, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2024. Maria is survived by her two sons, Jose A. Carrero of New York and Carmelo Carrero, Jr. & Lora of DeRidder, LA; nine grandchildren, Candice, Anna, Jonathan, Casandra, Diandra, Dennis, Josue, Yanitza, and Johanna; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Antonia Illas of Florida; niece, Emily Ruiz of Orlando, FL; and two nephews, Angelo Ruiz & Lourdes of Ponce, Puerto Rico and Jose-Antonio Cintron of New York. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose & Josefa Cordero; husband, Carmelo Carrero, Sr.; and brothers, Jose Cordero and Gregorio Illas. Condolences can be made at chaddickfuneralhome.com
