Marvin Harris

Marvin Harris, 68, of DeRidder, LA passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2023.  Visitation will be Saturday, October 28 from 11am-1pm at Chaddick Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be Saturday, October 28 at 1pm at Chaddick Funeral Home.  Interment will be at Starlight Cemetery.  Rev. Frank Williams will officiate. Marvin was born to the late Juanita White and LeRoy Harris in Silsbee, Texas on August 18, 1955.  He departed this life on October 17, 2023.  Marvin joined Sweet Home Baptist Church at an early age.  He graduated from Captain Shreve High School in Shreveport, Louisiana. Marvin leaves to cherish his memory, his special sister, Helen Tatman of Beaumont, TX; three aunts, Vivian Roberson, Sandra Williams, and Hattie Simien all of DeRidder, LA; one uncle, Pastor Frank Williams and Vera of Natchitoches, LA; and special nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Williams; father, LeRoy Harris; Carl Williams, Sr.; and two brothers, Paul Bettes and Carl Williams, Jr. Condolences can be made at chaddickfuneralhome.com
