Mrs. Jesse Garris

Dorothy Rougeou Garris, 87, of DeRidder, passed away Monday, May 18, 2015 at DeRidder Retirement & Rehabilitation Center.  Visitation will be Wednesday, May 20 from 5-9pm and Thursday, May 21, from 9am-12pm at Chaddick Funeral Home; and from 1pm until time of service at Westview Baptist Church.  Funeral service will be Thursday, May 21, at 2pm at Westview Baptist Church.  Interment will be at Beauregard Cemetery.  Rev. Wayne Kite, Rev. Wayland Durham, and Rev. Jason Hoychick will officiate. Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Frances Dianne Garris of DeRidder, and Joyce Marie Durham & Wayland of DeRidder; three sons, Eddie McDonald Garris & Helen of DeRidder, Barry Keith Garris of DeRidder, and Michael David Garris & Kay of Vidor, TX; fourteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Clive Rougeou & Retha of Oakdale, and Cecil Rougeou of Oakdale. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew & Frances Rougeou; husband, Jesse Garris; two sisters, Myrtle Nichols and Verna Beverly; and two brothers, Lloyd Rougeou and LC Rougeou.
