Nita Blackmon Buchanan

Nita Blackmon Buchanan, 74, of DeRidder, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018 in DeRidder.  Visitation will be Thursday, January 11 from 5-8pm at Chaddick Funeral Home and Friday, January 12, from 9am-10am at Chaddick Funeral Home, and from 11am until time of service at Grace Church.  Funeral service will be Friday, January 12 at 1pm at Grace Church.  Interment will be at Lewis Cemetery.  Rev. George Lee Glass will officiate. Nita is survived by her two daughters, Terri Darlene Buchanan Joseffy of Weston, FL and Dana Lynn Buchanan Hooper & Keith of DeRidder, LA; one son, Steven Lee Buchanan of DeRidder, LA; four grandchildren, Jennifer Paige Hooper Montgomery & Andrew of Alexandria, LA, Tyler James Jossefy of Weston, FL, Trace Joseph Owens of Temecula, CA, and Brandon Keith Hooper of Ruston, LA; one great granddaughter, Charlotte Drew Montgomery of Alexandria, LA; one sister, Maureen Blackmon Arnoldi & Dave of Shreveport, LA. She is preceded in death by her husband, T.R. “Buck” Buchanan, and two brothers, B.C. Blackmon and Dwayne Blackmon. Condolences can be made at chaddickfuneralhome.com
