Olga Dean Ginter

d. May 5, 2019

Olga Dean Ginter, 73, of Rosepine, LA, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2019 in Rosepine, LA.  Visitation will be Friday, May 10 from 11am until time of service at Chaddick Funeral Home.  Memorial service will be Friday, May 10 at 1pm at Chaddick Funeral Home. Olga Ginter was born in DeRidder, LA to Glennie Perkins.  She attended DeRidder High School and was the first in her family to graduate. After high school, Olga worked at the Realart Theater before she married her soldier sweetheart.  Gary and Olga moved around as the military requires and soon JR was born.  Their family was complete but not their travels.  Next they moved to Germany.  In Germany, Olga worked as the international secretary of the bowling commission of Europe.  All the while - raising a teenager - her hands were full.  But she not only could do the paperwork; she could sling the bowling ball.  A 300 game was not out of the question and she even had an opportunity to bowl against Earl Anthony - Pro Bowling League Hall of Famer. But military life comes to an end and Olga retired with her family to Vernon Parish.  Tyler was her first grandchild and her best buddy.  They spent many hours just sharing time and memories together.  JR and his wife Beth had three more children.  Stephanie and Sabrina gave her a chance to experience the frills and lace and all of the joy and sass that little girls bring.  One so shy and the other so bouncy compliments all sides of the relationship.  Mr Kool - Eric - kept her young, never a dull moment with the joys of being a grandmother.  Every day is a blessing when you have family.  This is a celebration of Olga’s life and her legacy.
