Peter Earl Ferdig

Pete Ferdig was born August 27, 1949 in San Antonio, Texas.  He passed away August 29, 2017 at his home with family in DeRidder, LA.  Memorial service will be Thursday, Septermber 7 from 5-7pm at Chaddick Funeral Home. Peter is survived by his wife of 41 years, Barbara Ferdig of DeRidder, LA; two daughters, Crystal Ferdig of DeRidder, LA and Brandy Ferdig & Gina of California; two sons, Aaron Ferdig & Taylor of DeRidder, LA and Bill Dewild & Lisa of Houston, TX; nine grandchildren, Brittany Ferdig, Cheyenne Ferdig, Jeremy Ferdig, Caitlin Ferdig, Boston Ferdig, Cameron, Liam Ferdig, Mark Dewild, and Jennifer Dewild; one great-granddaughter, Nora Jean Ferdig; mother, Harriet Ferdig of Denver, CO; and his brother, David Arabie of Denver, CO. He is preceded in death by his father, John David Arabie; sister, Margo Livly; grandmother, Loma Scroggins Patton; and grandfather, Charles Patton. He worked at Coburns Supply Company in DeRidder, LA for the past 12 years.  While not working, he spent his time with family.  His happiest moments were spent at the ball field watching his grandkids and great-granddaughter play ball.
