Rachel Rose Miers

Rachel Rose Miers, 70, of DeRidder, LA passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2022.  Visitation will be Wednesday, October 5 from 5-9pm at Palestine Baptist Church.  Funeral service will be Thursday, October 6 at 12pm at Palestine Baptist Church.  Interment will be at Whitaker Cemetery.  Rev. Hardy Estes and Rev. Eugene Williams will officiate. Rachel is survived by four daughters, Tina Brown of Anacoco, LA, Sharon Williams & Jerry “Kojack” of DeRidder, LA, Lynn Kittrell & Bill of DeRidder, LA and Margi Harriman & Daniel of DeRidder, LA; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Cooley of Crosby, TX and Trellis Havens of DeRidder, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, Van Miers; son, Franky Miers; great-granddaughter, Stormi Rae Williams; two sisters, Ann Lagrone and Grace Cooley; and four brothers, Claude Cooley, Joe Bill Lagrone, James Lagrone, and Russell Cooley.
