Rev. Roderick L. Martin

Rev. Roderick L. Martin, 65, of DeRidder, passed away Monday, February 26, 2018 at his home.  His visitation will be Tuesday, February 27, from 4-10pm at Shiloh Baptist Church and Wednesday, February 28, from 8am until time of service.  Funeral service will be Wednesday, February 28, at 10am at Shiloh Baptist Church.  Interment will be at Shiloh Cemetery.  Rev. Gary Richerson, Rev. Tim Patrick, and Rev. Allen Knuckles will officiate. He is survived by his wife, Denise Martin of DeRidder, LA; one daughter, Crystal Lee Fontenot & Derek of DeKalb, TX; one son, Christopher Blake Martin & Shona of DeRidder, LA; four grandchildren, Gracie Lee Fontenot, Brayden Lance Fontenot, Laynee Martin, and Riley Blake Martin; two sisters, Genelle Martin of Grant, LA, and Sherry Pottmeyer & Tony of Dry Creek, LA; one brother, Roland “Peanut” Martin & Regina of DeRidder, LA; mother, Troy Martin of Grant, LA; Brother-in-Law, Kenny Johnson of Grant, LA; and Crystal’s lifelong friend who he affectionately referred to as his daughter, Shellie Ardoin of Basile, LA. He is preceded in death by his father, Riley Martin; two brothers, Richard Martin and Rayford Martin; one sister, Peggy Johnson; Mother-in-Law & Father-in-Law, Earl & Claudene Cooley; one niece, Patrina Martin; one nephew, James Patrick Cooley, Jr.; and one brother-in-law, Jeffery Buck.
