Richard Lee Treadwell

Richard Lee Treadwell, 73, of DeRidder, LA, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018 in New Orleans, LA.  Visitation will be Friday, October 26 from 9am until time of service at Chaddick Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be Friday, October 26 at 11am at Chaddick Funeral Home.  Interment will be at Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery.  Chaplain Jeff Martin will officiate. Richard is survived by his wife, Kim Treadwell of Vicksburg, MS; three daughters, Lea Ann Whitfield & Bryan of Oviedo, FL, Vicki Brunks of Corpus Christi, TX, and Crael Ceanet Rode & Russell of Mena, AR; two sons, Kevin Treadwell & Agata of Louisville, KY, and Michael Treadwell of Oviedo, FL; one step-daughter, Belinda Lewis of South Lake, TX; one step-son, William Lewis, Jr. of Venice, TX; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Evins of Austin, TX, and Jill Clegg of Mena, AR. Richard was born in Mena, Arkansas and he attended school in Hatfield, Arkansas. Richard joined the Army at age 17 in March 1962 and retired in March 1983.  He served with the 82 He worked as a Department of the Army civilian from 1983 to 2003 and retired from the Baynes-Jones Army Community Hospital Nutrition Care Division.  Many soldiers and hospital patients enjoyed his meals. During his retirement from 2003 to 2018 he was an entrepreneur and small business owner in the Rosepine, Louisiana area. Preceded in death by his parents, Dick & Fan Treadwell; brother, Jack Treadwell; nephews, Guyland Evins & Michael Clegg; and brother-in-law, Chester Evins.
