Ricky Lucian Porterfield

Ricky Lucian Porterfield, 57, of Leesville, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017 at his home.  Visitation will be Tuesday, January 24, 2017 from 10am until time of service at Memorial Baptist Church in Longville.  The funeral service will be Tuesday, January 24, at 12pm at Memorial Baptist Church.  Interment will be at Memorial Cemetery.  Rev. Jimmy Clark will officiate. Mr. Porterfield was born on October 1, 1959 at Dreux Air Force Base in Dreux, France.  He graduated from Northwestern State University in 1982 with a degree in Agri-Business.  He was a retired meat inspector from the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry.  He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and a member of the American Quarter Horse Association. Mr. Porterfield is survived by one sister, Susan Ballard & James of Alexandria; one brother, Michael Porterfield & Jackie of DeRidder; four nieces, Jennifer Ballard, Kendra Rogers, Jessica Porterfield, and Samantha Porterfield; and one great-niece, Maylee Rogers. He is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Curtis & Shirley Hazel Porterfield; and aunt, Barbara Ruth Poster.
