Robert "Bob" Lee Hudson, 85, of Pitkin, La, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2016 at his home. A visitation will be Tuesday, November 29, from 5-10pm at Freedom Baptist Church in Pitkin, off of Hwy 113. A funeral service will be Wednesday, November 30, at 11am at Freedom Baptist Church. Interment will be at Campground Cemetery in Melder. Rev. Jeff James and Rev. Tim Deason will officiate.
Bob is survived by his wife, Peggy Jo Hudson of Pitkin; one son, T.J. Hudson of Glenmora; four daughters, Pam Hudson McRight of Lake Charles, Patsy Johnson of Lake Charles, Daphne Nolen Kingan of Pitkin, and Jenna Nolen of Pitkin; nine grandchildren, Beau Hudson, Kristina McRight Haegele, Teri McRight Hayes, Kristin Michiels Clark, Ashley Hudson, Bailey Kingan, Kaleb Kingan, Kyler Kingan, and Ryleigh Nolen; eleven great-grandchildren; one sister, Esther Burris of Wichita, KS; and one brother, Everett Hudson of St. John, KS.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Billie Melder Hudson; son, Robert L. Hudson, Jr.; brother, Don Hudson; and parents, Lee & Helen Hudson.
Bob served in the United States Air Force for 22 years and was a Game Warden for the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries for 20 years. He had a long love of Dirt Track Racing, where he was a driver, as #32, for 15 years, a Flagman for 8 years, and a Pit Official for 7 years.
