On Feb. 9, 2018 at 2:28 am Stoney Earl Carlisle went home to heaven to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus. Stoney was born June 14, 1953 to Stonewall Jackson and Earlene Carlisle. Stoney is survived by his wife - Linda, 3 sons - Jeremy, Chad and Richard, 2 daughters - Tonya and Miranda, 14 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 sisters - Elaine and Sheila and an extended family who loved him dearly. Stoney served proudly in the Army and worked oilfield throughout life. He was a good man who worked hard and loved deeply. He helped family and friends unconditionally and never asked for anything in return. Stoney was a gifted musician like his parents as well as a gifted carpenter but definitely was not a plumber. He loved helping others, landscaping, building, working out, writing songs, yard work and watching any and all sports. Stoney had a great sense of humor and had a nickname for all. Linda aka Booget, Betty aka Sally, Sheila and Roy aka Aunt Bunny and Uncle Gus. Stoney was referred to as Boog by Linda and as Uncle Bubba by family. Stoney could always be counted on in a crisis except if it involved bugs, bats, frogs or spiders. He was a private person who enjoyed traveling for work and pleasure and who was humble and had one of the biggest hearts. He loved his family and was a great provider. Stoney was a Christian who had great faith and loved Jesus. He worried about people and often could be heard telling someone get saved. Stoney will be greatly missed by his family, friends and coworkers. But I believe Stoney would say to all - Now that I am gone cry for me a little think of me sometimes but not for too long leave me in peace and go live life because this is not goodbye but simply until we see each other again.
