Thelma Joyce Abel

Thelma Joyce Abel, 96, of Haughton, LA, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2019 in Bossier City, LA.  Visitation will be Wednesday, September 11 from 10am until time of service at Chaddick Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be Wednesday, September 11 at 1pm at Chaddick Funeral Home.  Interment will be at New Camp Ground Cemetery.  Rev. Michael Bonds will officiate. Thelma is survived by her daughter, Brenda A. Dignam & Richard of Haughton, LA; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. She is preceded in death by her husband, James “Whitey” Abel; two sons, Gary Wayne Abel and Mickey Joe Abel; three sisters, Hazel Nolen, Maybell Cook, and Dorothy Simmons; and two brothers, Douglas Lacey and Albert Lacey.
