Lesley Chaddick faithfully served his community for over four decades as a funeral director and embalmer, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and care. In 2004, he founded Chaddick Funeral Home with a mission to serve families with empathy, dignity, and unwavering support
during life’s most difficult moments. Known for his signature phrase, “no problem,” Lesley was always ready to fulfill any request, guided by his heartfelt motto: “whatever the family wants.” His presence in the community was marked by kindness, generosity, and an unshakable dedication to his calling. His proudest joy was working side-by-side with his daughters, Lydia and Martha, watching them follow in his footsteps. Lesley passed away in September 2024, but his spirit continues to guide the mission and values of Chaddick Funeral Home each day.

Lydia Chaddick brings over a decade of experience and a lifetime of dedication to her role as manager of Chaddick Funeral Home. A lifelong resident of DeRidder, Lydia is known for her quiet strength, genuine compassion, and unwavering commitment to the families she serves. For Lydia, funeral service is not just a profession—it’s a deeply personal calling shaped by her community roots and family legacy.
After graduating from DeRidder High School, Lydia earned her Bachelor of Science in
Accounting from McNeese State University, followed by a degree from the Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service. Today, she leads the funeral home her father founded, carrying forward his vision of thoughtful, personalized care. Outside of her professional life, Lydia finds joy in fishing, cheering on her favorite teams, and spending time with her close-knit circle of family and friends. Her steady presence and heartfelt service continue to be a comfort to the
families of the Beauregard Parish and Vernon Parish communities.

Martha Chaddick is a lifelong resident of DeRidder, Louisiana, and a steady, compassionate presence at Chaddick Funeral Home. With several years of experience in the funeral profession,
Martha quietly ensures that every detail is handled with care and that each family is met with warmth, dignity, and respect. Whether assisting with service preparations, managing behind-the-scenes coordination, or offering a calm and comforting presence, she brings grace and attentiveness to every interaction.
Martha’s thoughtful nature and ability to anticipate the needs of others have made her an invaluable part of the team and the community she calls home. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring the world through travel, savoring global cuisines, and diving into the pages of a good book. Her love of music and appreciation for classic films reflect her creative spirit and deep connection to storytelling in all its forms.
